About the Keep at Quitting campaign
Keep at Quitting is a confidence-building, strength-based campaign developed in consultation with First Nations people to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to quit smoking.
The campaign encourages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people trying to quit smoking to persevere on their quitting journey and drives awareness of the support available to them for smoking, as well as vaping, cessation.
Keep at Quitting was developed as part of the national ‘Give Up For Good’ campaign. The campaign creative focusses on:
- Time enjoyed with family and friends as a motivation to quit.
- Creating a positive, encouraging tone that is non-shaming.
- Featuring First Nations people, settings and priorities that would resonate with the audience.
The concept also introduces the idea that quitting might take multiple attempts, and any setbacks should not be a reason to not try again.
